Happy Garden Bar & Restaurant is not closed as TA would have you believe. Either that or I have lost my mind (always a possibility). It is in Clearlake Oaks. The place is super cute and very comfortable. The service is wonderful. They can help you with the menu if you need. They also have a full bar which gets some attention. You can dine there, get take away or delivery. This is traditional Chinese food at super good prices. We loved everything we had. We started with egg rolls, which were crispy and yummy and moved onto Thai style chicken satay. We loved the peanut sauce it came with. Their seafood with bean cake soup was so amazing, be careful it comes hot. For our mains we love shrimp so we tried several. The sweet and sour shrimp was very good, but not our favorite. We loved the shrimp with vegetables and the prawns with a wonderful lobster sauce. It all comes for sharing. Their shrimp fried rice was perfect and we had white rice as well, not dry at all. You will love this place.
This is our favorite Chinese and Tai food restaurant in Lake County. Food is consistently good and fast service. Large portions so we always have leftovers to go. Dine-in and take-out experiences are both great. They have a full bar as well.We live locally but if you are staying at the Lake Point Lodge it is right next door. Amazing food and generous portions. The staff were super friendly and made some great food recommendations. I highly recommend! Oh the restaurant was ver clean and had a great vibe.
This is the most consistent Chinese restaurant in Lake County that we have found. The ones in Lakeport are hit and miss unfortunately. This one we visit at least once a year and it always is consistently good.
